AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup
2018 International Hardware Cup winners
The AlphaLab Gear Hardware Cup began in 2015 as a nationwide competition to find the best hardware startup in America. Since then it has grown to include several other countries as well.
Run by Innovation Works, the Hardware Cup reviews hundreds of applications each year, then selects semi-finalists for a series of regional competitions held in host cities. Finalists travel to Pittsburgh for the grand prize competition, which is sponsored by Startbot.
Each year, dozens of top VC investors from all over the country volunteer to judge the competition, and participants get feedback and networking opportunities from these judges.
Past winners of the Hardware Cup include Curb Inc., Lucid, VaGenie by Kalikha, and Somatic Labs.
